Live in the South Florida Tri-County area (West Palm, Broward, or Miami-Dade) and are interested in giving one of these Gentle Giants a safe and loving forever home?

 

Our process is not the same as a typical shelter as it is not first come first serve. All Danes that come into our Rescue receive a physical exam, full blood panel, heart worm test / preventative medication, flea & tick prevention, are spayed / neutered, gastropexied when possible, vaccinated, & micro-chipped. If they require any additional care they are placed on medical hold until they receive diagnostic testing (X-Rays, MRI's, etc), as well as any appropriate treatment or surgeries as determined by a licensed veterinarian. Once cleared medically they undergo a thorough behavior analysis and receive professional training as necessary.

We thoroughly vet applicants as well, the process begins with an adoption application, we require a $20 tax deductible, non refundable application fee. This fee helps offset the hours volunteers put into each application. References are checked, vet records reviewed, and a home visit is conducted to ensure all of our Danes have a safe and loving place to call home. Once you are approved as an adopter we will schedule a meet and greet with any available Danes that you are interested in. If we do not currently have the perfect match for both the Dane and your family we keep your approved application on file until the right fit comes along.
