Gentle Giants Great Dane Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit. We do not currently receive any government funding or grants, and rely solely on generous individuals like yourself. All directors and staff are volunteers and 100% of the proceeds go directly to the care of the dogs in our rescue.
Application and adoption fees typically do not even come close to covering the expenses accrued for each dog. Every Dane that come into our Rescue receive a physical exam, full blood panel, heart worm test / preventative medication, flea & tick prevention, are spayed / neutered, gastropexied when possible, vaccinated, & micro-chipped. As well as any additional care they may require such as diagnostic testing (X-Rays, MRI's, etc), as well as any appropriate treatment or surgeries as determined by a licensed veterinarian. Once cleared medically they undergo a thorough behavior analysis and receive professional training as necessary.
